Every night as I lay, I wonder
with whom will I spend eternity---
Would he be younger, or someone older?
either way, I wish he'd be mine, exclusively.

I pray for someone kind and compassionate
someone who's strong bodily, and piously;
On trying to ease life's endless heartaches
someone I'll stand by with, standing by me.

Someone who's sensitive with feelings
able to make me fall in-love;
Past those clouds without wings,
make me feel I'm in heaven above.

God-fearing, has say on matters,
someone who swings with whimsy;
Who tries to build tall ladders
that in a view, I'll be shown reality.

Past, present, you had me thinking
future, what have you in store?
I'm but a person who wishes, hoping,
please drift what is meant on my shore.

A revised piece, originally entitled "Forever," this was done several years back, having 8 stanzas in all (if you've been even slightly avid with my deviations, or my page in general, I mentioned here somewhere how I used to write poems, and why I stopped writing).

I did this while in class, the teacher usually couldn't get my attention because I've always had my own private discussion.

I omittted some verses, because I think they're far off the poem at all. I'll type them in, you judge:

"... responsible, and broad-minded,
someone who'll ne'er take me for granted."

"My partner forever in life,
promising I'll be a faithful wife,
he'll be my treasured love-one;
warm 'round his arms, I won't be gone."

"After life, we will fly freely
'midst the endless void we'll soar
reality will begin from dreamy
'til we've gone really far."

"Staying real close to each other,
no one and nothing can bother,
beyond this big Blue Void we'll go over
then live there, now, today, forever."

See? In the verses above, structured in aaaa-aabb-abab-aaaa sequence, (I splitted that first verse, and made different a-b lines for "Someone") they kind of pertain to someone in particular... While in the "Someone" version, the verses only seem to hint how that someone would have to be.. Anyway.. This is Free Verse so don't mind most of my blabbers.. Ahehe..
